30ft x 8ft 7in beam x 3ft 7in draft with a long iron keel. Silverette, designed by John Bain and built by A Silver. Rosneath, Scotland, 1935. She spent her first years until 1963 on the Clyde but named Helen, see www.clydeships.co.uk. She then moved to London and stayed on the south coast until 2001 where shw was purchased by the previous owner and moved to Goole, East Yorkshire where she is currently lying. She is also on the British Register as Silver Witch ON302547 and on the National Small Boat Register No.3015. This is an excellant example of a Classic wooden boat. Teak on oak hull and she has undergone a complete restoration in the last couple of years but she still retains many of her original features. The decks are planked and canvas sheeted (re-canvassed 2015). Cracked ribs, transom planks and all rotting/soft wood have all been replaced and treated. Powered by twin Vetus M414 33hp engines which were fitted new in 1987. All electrical and wiring systems have been replaced with Merlin electrical systems S250SE. She has one double berth cabin, two single berths in the saloon (port and starboard settees new in 2015). Galley has stainless steel sink and drainer, 12 volt fridge, Taylor paraffin 2 burner hob with oven (restored by Taylor in 2015). Diesel tanks x 2 have been replaced with new stainless steel 140L, fresh water tanks have also been replaced with 2 x 90l polythene for the pressurised cold water system. New navigation equipment which includes Standard Horizon VHF, Furuno GP33 GPS, Clipper Duet speed and depth. all navigation lights, anchor windlass and two anchors.
